U mad I exposed you and pwned you?

It's my right to post on this board, just as it is your right to be a propagandist on the Korea discussion forum while living in China.

I'll continue posting here for as long as I feel like. Nothing you can do about that.

It's either this or flip burgers? With a college degree? Sad, man.

LOL sad is right. Some of these people have such a defeatist attitude and consider themselves on the lowest rung of employability. It's sad indeed.

usually the folks calling other people sad are the ones with all kinds of advantages.

ie. they know people in high places, they're good looking, their family owns a firm, mommy and daddy pay their rent and expenses indefinitely while they take their time to look for work, etc etc.

not everyone has such advantages and if you've wasted a year or more and exhausted your finances trying to get your foot in the door but failed, then it becomes an experience you don't want to repeat.

Personally I have no desire to live back in the west, i'm perfectly happy where I am and I like my life as is. I believe I could get any job I wanted if I did go back to the west, but I'm not sure I'd be prepared to spend the mammoth time and effort to do so. And once you get older you stop caring so much anyhow.

I take offense to that. I am a well respected pictionary game show host on the chalkboard when the computer isn't working (projector screen and all) and there are no textbooks.

I am Pat Sajak waiting for my Vanna White.

I've heard of TEFL jobs in countries like Spain and Italy paying 800 euros a month. Out of that you'd have to pay rent too so you're looking at having to share a flat. I don't think Korea'll ever go that low, unless it suddenly becomes one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Japan? You have to pay part of your rent? Salaries, in some cases less than 20 years ago. The cost of living so high, you probably would be roughing it, I guess? Spain prob has a cheaper living cost though.

Yeah, Europe seems to suck for ESL. They must not want it that badly. If they did, they'd pay for it, like Korea use to do and still kind of does compared to some other countries. Though less than before.
