I'm just looking at the headlines right now on my Google News feed. I want to puke. Here are a few:
| Quote: |
Analysis: Canada's Growing Extremism
Thank God For Kevin Vickers - Canada's New National Hero!
Ottawa Attack - This Changes Everything
PM Harper: Canada Will Not be Intimidated! |
Shit happens. This isn't even all that serious in the grand scheme of things. In Winnipeg they just found 6 dead babies in a storage locker and a few months ago some nut killed 3 or 4 polices officers in New Brunswick - if the media could have, they would have loved to have blamed it on him being an Islamic fundamentalist terrorist.
The media sucks. It's fear porn. Whip everyone up into a frenzy. Get them scared. |

He now finds himself in Asia hoping to find a boss/environment that won't call him out on his childish, pathetic ways because every boss or colleague in North America over the age of 30 has fired him, kicked his ass, or shunned him.
Some young idiot who still thinks he/she is anonymously behind their keyboard every time they open their trap. Having not the slightest social etiquette and believing everything that comes out of their mouth is some pearl of wisdom.
Lot's of people like that on Dave's actually. Brilliant post! [thumbs up] |
KimchiNinja - I got the rich irony of that!
It was a delicious gravy to my sorely parched throat. |
yawarakaijin,
You're loosing your cool, here, man.
What the hell happened to you? Your going off on people who work in eikaiwa / hogwan jobs. These are bottom of the barrel jobs that attract bottom of the barrel or inexperienced people.
Don't sweat it. Jesus, it's EIKAIWA! |

Has infected nearly ten thousand people and killed half as many. It has also brought countries in West Africa to the brink of anarchy.
Thousands dead with many more enslaved, tortued and massacred. The destabilization of Iraq and Syria as well as the recruitment of thousands of fighters from Europe.
Hundreds of thousands dead and huge damage to the rural economy in multiple countries from the mass slaughter of livestock.
Thanks to the efforts of governments and intelligence agencies globally, the sophistication and power of terrorist attacks have fallen dramatically, at least in the West.
Also Canada and it's people deserve credit for once again showing that the tragedy in Ottawa can only succeed in strengthening their resolve to fight terror.

All in all everything you mentioned are serious problems and I am thankful I can get access to news and information, that whilst a tad sensationalist at times, at least does not protect those in charge and try to minimize the problems facing us today. |

Well most of you are capable of holding it together for at least a couple of interviews. Congratulations. You can also pat yourself on the back for being the reason we no longer hire anyone under the age of 30.
On a side note. Anyone over the age of 30 or 40 wondering if they have a shot at landing a job in Asia should look for a western boss/manager. Not being raised in the era of facebook, instagram, twitter, chat rooms or selfies automatically has your resume put at the top of the pile. Believe it. |
There are a whole range of techniques to weed out bad apples when interviewing people.
I'd say that by NOT hiring ANYONE under 30, you're cutting off your nose to spite your face!
I once worked with a very wise person - one of the key ways he found out if someone was suitable for the job was to ask his receptionist how they spoke to her.
You could also be sly and plant a friend/work colleague in the line of potential employees.
Leave them in the room together for 30 minutes with some coffee and biscuits. You can learn a lot about a person then!
Children are also very perceptive - have them (2-3 kids) ask each applicant a couple of questions and have them choose a favourite.
Some people shouldn't be managers, you sound like one of these people.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day!
If my CV ever landed on your lap you'd be jizzing your panties to meet me!
Once we'd met and interviewed, you'd be offering me your wife in exchange for my services. |

Or maybe we could ask for a few samples of how they act on anonymous internet message boards?
I see you "edited" your pathetic post ridiculing an entire country because someone was picking on a "poor, retarded," country by killing one of its servicemen.
By your use of the term CV, I am going to assume you may be a Brit. I find your attitude and lack of historical knowledge quite sad. More than a few sons of that "poor and retarded" country gave their lives to stand by your country in its time of need. Using a soldier's murder as a backdrop to your ignorant comment was even worse.
Is your father or grandfather still alive? Would you be man enough to show them what you wrote and stand by it? If you are a Brit, your grandfather probably stood beside a few Canadians. Would he be proud of the man you have become?
You sir are a piece of #$%&, not even man enough to stand by your own words on an anonymous message board. |

I edited my post because you and others were right, it was in bad taste.
Still Canada was/is a soft target - case in point. The soldiers gun was not even loaded (correct?) so he was more of a tourist attraction than an actual soldier.
Now of course he was still a 'real soldier' but he was as much use as a chocolate fire guard (not his fault).
Then the hero guy ' Vickers served with the RCMP for 29 years before assuming the role at Parliament eight years ago. The sergeant-at-arms is in charge of security at the House of Commons.
Despite his lengthy service, family members have revealed that Wednesday's attack was the first time Vickers had ever shot anyone.'
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2804992/The-incredible-moment-heroic-sergeant-arms-58-greeted-lengthy-standing-ovation-returning-Parliament-day-shot-dead-gunman.html quote taken from here ^
So one guy can walk into your parliament building with a gun and he is (luckily) shot by one guy with a pistol who has never shot anyone before.
I've always liked Canadians - good fun. In fact I respect Canadians so much, when I meet a North American and i'm 50-50 as to whether they're American or Canadian I always go for Canadian. It makes them so happy!
Kinda like a Korean Japan situation..... |

1950 - 1970 - Communists will take over the world
2000 - Y2K was going to destroy us.
2001 - Anthrax would kill hundreds of thousands of people in the US water supply.
2002 - West Nile Virus would threaten humanity.
2003 - Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction that Saddam will use on us
2004 - SARS will wipe out millions of people
2004 Bird FLu will kill u s
2009 - Swine Flu will kill us
2014 - ISIS / ISIL Will Kill us
2014 - Ebola will kills us
2014 - Terrorist will kill us
The US, UK, AUstralian and Canadian governments want to keep us scared and to manipulate us. The media are complicit in this and are also a big part of the problem.
Turn off your TV.
Stop watching mainstream, corporate media.

Yeah turn over to alex jones and natural news or some other crackpot blogger.
So instead of being reasonably concerned about diseases that kill hundreds of thousands and destablizing terror organizations, we should be scared of the governments in the anglosphere?
You too are peddling fear, just a less sane version.
Doesn't the fact that both Russia and China have invaded and stolen land in recent years also make them a threat too? Why are the French and Indians left out? |
