Aside from the salary, I've noticed a bit more of this type of thing in job postings:

Do you have tattoos which can¡¯t be covered by clothes?

That's a positive development. It's time people realised that self mutilation/decoration affects other people apart from themselves and that employers require certain standards from people dealing with the public.

LOL. A tattoo hardly equates to self-mutilation.

I'm noticed A LOT more "must be a Christian to apply to work at this university" ads. Most often they are asking for some kind of proof, too (in the form of extra paperwork to get like a signed form on letterhead from a pastor). Too bad. The market's getting really competitive (even as salaries decline). It blows.

I'm a Christian but in order to "deliver myself from evil", I don't frequent Korean churches.

The Swell program at Seoul Women's University has consistently over many years been the lowest paying uni job out there. I don't know how they get teachers. Perhaps the foreigners there are just visa hunting so they can do more lucrative private work. You'd have to do privates considering the crap salary the uni pays.

You'd think the school would be embarrassed to put out such a horrible offer.

Very Happy Very Happy I can hazard a guess...

Anyone who takes a low-paying job just so they can be in an all-female environment is doing it wrong. I can see men lining up for a job 'interviewing' high priced escorts or something, but this? Rolling Eyes

I make more than 2.1 with just my grouped privates on Saturdays and one weeknight a week.

I would be skeptical about working for a place that has you sign a contract that ends a day before the year is over.

Or maybe they didn't check their calendars and realize February 2016 has 29 days?

I remember when I renewed with a KEYS uni and the dean told me I would never survive on the salary. It was 75% higher than this one.

I doubt anyone with a Master's or PHD would apply for this if they have any self respect. Might be good for a bachelor's degree only looking to gain uni experience and have 4 months of vacation a year. If I had no debt to repay back home and didn't mind the huge pay cut, I'd consider it myself.

Got a friend with a Master's working at a uni that starts folks off at 2.9, but they are strict on having a Master's.
