In Gangnam I attended Chunghyun Church for a year. It is a beautiful building made mostly from granite.
In Ansan I attended Dongsan Church. It is a modern building, but also very beautiful and well built.
From what I remember the Myeongdong Catholic Cathedral isn't bad.
Not every church in Korea is ugly. But, I do agree to some degree!
Personally, it's never been what draws me to a place anyway. Nice building + [insert-negative-adjective], [insert-negative-adjective],[insert-negative adjective] religious people isn't a nice combo. I recall something about people washing the outside of the cup... or being like whitewashed tombs... |
