I'm curious if you made an appointment at immigration or just showed up. If you made an appointment, it is more likely that person your ex-boss knows saw it and informed them of the date/time. Also, what do you think the incentive is for your ex-boss to treat you like this if you already got your severance? Usually we see people getting screwed like this so the school doesn't have to pay your severance. Why would your boss plan so far ahead to screw you with a 13 month contract if they were going to give you the severance anyway? |

Immigration is an appointment only system in my region. It's important to schedule in my situation regardless.

I have a few theories, but I'm too concerned about my progress getting halted if I say too much. I don't understand many things that happened to me or others, but I'm happier not thinking deeply about these things. Anyways, they are just theories. I'm finally getting to the point where I can sleep at night and want to keep it that way. |

Finished my appointment with immigration today. I do get the impression they are advocates for what is fair.
Naturally, immigration refused my original application. They advised my only option is to leave the country. I made it clear that I will be traveling outside of the country, so they pre-arranged my exit/return. Meaning, they took my arc and gave me official documentation from the Ministry of Justice for the airport immigration to save any hassle. I guess the next step is to pack my bags and work on my new visa.
Feels good to have some direction. |

Finish the E2 get a D10. Show your plan to find a job and maybe they may or may not want to see proof of some money in your bank account. Some agent who's breaking Korean law being a d!ckweed, ask to speak to his boss or get a Korean to call higher up to Seoul if necessary. They must follow the law. Best of luck. |
