I may have misinterpreted beav's post, but it seemed like he was telling Mr. Flakes that his deal isn't the be-all-and-end-all. Which it's not.

Yes, that's what I was doing.
I've already mouthed off about my job before and raised the ire of a board member or two so I had no need to do it again. |

I don't think flutie was trying to rub peoples' noses in it so much as giving his two cents worth of advice(yeah, I know flutie personally & he's a good chap-even if he has an irrational belief that the Toronto Maple Leafs will win a Stanley Cup in his lifetime).
My beef w/his OP is that he didn't state clearly where he's "coming from" , namely, a public school gig w/EPIK. That brings me to my counterpoint: getting a public school job, via EPIK or not, does NOT guarantee everyone that they'll be living the life of Reilly. My experience is a case in point. There are others, like Adventureman, who will echo me. |
