lets talk about prep time..

many people have said they have zero prep time.. Rolling Eyes

how can you teach a class with zero prep time?

a lesson needs to be structured and organized.. zero prep time means that it isn't

Technically I would have to do very little prep time. It's easy to just teach from the book. But I do like to try and come up with something different.

2-7, mon-fri

Still do prep time otherwise I feel classes become stale.

Field trips once per month.

Lots of curriculum development, good co-workers and a great boss.

Nice accomodations for teachers and we rotate as academic supervisor every 2 months which makes for a a nice change of pace.

heya,

in relation to a query about "zero" prep time. my zero prep time means i have now taught the same phonics book for the last 7 months. same layout, same resources, same everything bar the letter for the week. not saying i dont bring in a few extra bits and bobs now and again, but bythe time ive covered all there is in the structured time frame i have beeen using, well....theres not much rroom for much else. doesnt mean im lazy, just that really i have nothing to prep for. as for the other classes, same again. anyway, no-one has ever complained my classes bore them and the head teacher loves me, and my teachings, so , why fix whats not broke.
