Tomorrow afternoon it should be in relatively full swing, a lot of rain it looks like.

Storm clouds are coming.

I just saw an incredible sunset off the east coast of the island. Everything was glowing a bright pink including our hands and clothes. It looked like a sort of radioactive nuclear reaction. Quite odd for me to see.

And suddenly it's so warm.

They're no ordinary clouds.

And it's now windy, though not yet more than on a typically windy day.

Again I wish I didn't live in a rooftop apartment.

Always happens before the typhoon. The air becomes a lot more moist as the pressure drops rapidly plus the pushing of warm moist air doesn't help either.

You'll notice that after the typhoon the 2 or 3 fine days after will not be very humid.

Here comes number 3, Songda. Third to hit Japan in as many weeks.

From BBC:
Quote:
Deadly typhoon races up Japan
The typhoon has severely disrupted transport schedules

Typhoon Chaba is heading north up Japan's archipelago after leaving at least seven people dead in the country's southern and western regions.
It is heading north-east at about 65km/h and is expected to hit the northern island of Hokkaido later on Tuesday.

Meanwhile the Philippines is still suffering from typhoon-induced floods.

Thousands of people have been evacuated from the central Luzon area, and officials say at least 29 people have died since the flooding began.

Chaba is losing some strength - packing winds of about 108km/h (67 miles/h), down from Monday's 210km/h - but is moving faster, according to the French news agency AFP.

It has already wreaked havoc lower down the country. The death toll rose to seven on Tuesday after an 82-year-old woman was found drowned in her flooded house in Kurashiki city, Okayama prefecture, and an unidentified man was found drowned in a car in Takamatsu city, Kagawa prefecture.

A 26-year-old man was in a coma after falling off his balcony in the western town of Imajo, Fukui prefecture.

Chaba, which takes its name from the Thai word for hibiscus, is the 16th typhoon to affect the region this year. It comes hot on the heels of Typhoon Aere, which hit hardest in Taiwan, and Typhoon Megi, which killed 10 people in Japan and at least three people in South Korea earlier this month.

Songda will be a rain depression if it reaches here.

No wind in that one.

Watch out Taiwan. Here comes Songda.

I understand Frances in the Carribean is going to worse than Charley.
