I want to be a gangster, and will sacrifice everything I hold dear to me as long as there is a potential to make lots of money and hold power. Any coldblooded savages out there up for starting an ESL mafia??

This, for one reason or another, makes me think of an experience I had in a bar in Pusan. I was there with 2 other teachers from my college. I am white American. One of the other teachers was white aussie, and the third was black NZ. So, we certainlly stuck out there because everyone else was Korean. My two friends were drinking Macoli Razz and I was having coke.

Then, this Korean soldier walks in. He has a riffle. As he passes by, I say to him. "Wow. It that a real gun? He says, "yes". Then I said, "It sure is big". Then he went to the bar. My two friends were shaking. They told me I was going to get us killed.

Then, the waitress brings over a bottle of Coke for me. And points to the bar. It was from the soldier. I got up and went over to say thanks. Then, I told him he looked handsome in his uniform. He blushed, giggled and said, "thank you".

Then I went back to the table. My friends never knew what I said to make him blush and giggle. But I did tell them, "always make friends with the guys who got the guns". Laughing

ok, now you can ask to your korean friends.

what is "hebaragi"?

"hebaragi" is a sunflower's korean name.

And korean people call it(the *beep* yakuja had) "hebaragi" too.

The reason is because of the shape as you guess.

Yeah, doing this kinds of thing is really stupid.

Even it doesn't make women feel better when they sex with a man

who has hebaragi.

So, you can say it's a foolish big macho guys pathetic idea.

You gotta understand that they are poor uneducated idiots.

So, they don't know how it hurts themselves and women.

"hebaragi" is made by Vaseline(in hospital) or piece of toothbrush
(in prison).

sometimes it helps a people who don't have a self-confidence because

they don't have a big enough size to please their lover.

but usually they make it so big that's the problem.

Anyway, sorry for my english. English is not my first language. Wink

korean mafia and japanese yakuza are totally different then street gangs in the states but i guarentee in an all out war, neither would hold their weight against some american gangs like La Eme family (mexican mafia thousands and thousands deep throughout California prisons and streets)...

and on straight vicious brutality levels, they really don't *beep* with some of the south-east asian gangs in the states...

but they are on another level of "professionalism" in their activities but even then, they aren't messing with the triads, russian mob or even the albanian mafia who are pretty big players in the states mafia wise nowadays...

If they were Yacuza they probably do alright in Compton on account of their massive savagery and disregard for human life, you're weirdly proud of the 'badboys' from your country tho (presuming you're American)..........although it would be kinda fun some sort of ultimate fighting with gangstas representing for their respective countries........i think you might be onto something.................

The words of a man who knows nothing about the Yakuza, much less met one.

I watched your avatar flick from beginning to end to see if my guess was correct. That is, that when he either died or gave up, the door would open up. And, I was correct. Embarassed But, which happened? Did he die, or just give up?

I believe he is still alive because there is some advice for him at the end. It says, "If it doesnt open when you push, try pulling".

I would put my money on the Yakuza. They out number any street thug gang in America. They would not just survive Compton, they would take over it.

Discussions of relative bad-a*s-ness of the Yakuza, the Korean ganpe and American gangs is ridiculous, unless you've had intimate experience with both or all three of the groups you are comparing. Since I'd say at most some people here can educatedly speak about ONE of the three, let's just realize this discussion is fruitless, shall we?

Sorry chief, didnt realise we had a bona fide ganster on the board, I never even pretended to have met a memeber of the Yacuza- by putting 'much less met one' you're implying that you have, and arent you just itching for someone to ask you about it, bet you're scanning this message 3 times a day or so........but fair enough I imagine after a hard day teaching ESL to 8 year olds you call up your Yacuza 'brothers' and head over there to lop off a few fingers and plan your next 'move'.....................

I havent met any, but ive seen a few documentaries and read a few books on them and various other gangs, while this obviously doesn't give me the insight that you guys on the inside have I feel I can at least offer an opinion on a message board about if they could take a Compton street gang...........

Given that you have disrespected me I would normally ask you to step outside with a couple of friends to rectify the situation but given your connections in the underworld, I think I'll just leave it, yeah............

Gangsters go through the same organization cycles as any other. The toughest gang is always the newest one in town with a membership consisting of guys who have a younger membership structure and the least to lose. As they become more succesful they become more "establishment" and less likely to want to upset the apple cart. Rather than a gang of vicious street thugs beating people to death, they'd rather use their heads instead - let's say use policemen on their payroll to root out the competition, or, if worst comes to worst, use a competent professional to make the problem simply disappear as quietly as possible.

I once knew a guy back in Alberta who ran afoul of the Hell's Angels. He was sent on a dope run to BC but ended up blowing all the money on VLTs instead. This is how they handled it. They first sent a couple of guys out to beat the hell out of him - they actually dragged him out from a construction work site- but did so without breaking any bones or even him having to go to the hospital. They next sent a middle aged lady in a Winnebago out to talk to him to make a deal- The deal was he had to go live on a farm they had somewhere - I think up near Cold Lake ( but I can't remember for sure) and work while they took 80% of his paycheck (and made sure he showed to work of course!) until his debt was paid. Then they let him off. He went back to running again successfully after that until a couple of years ago, where he once again blew the money on gambling. I met him at a friends house after he had just come back from BC - I have never seen a guy so nervous as he was that time. And that was the very last time I ever saw him. What happened to him? Why, nobody knows.

Another case in point, the city that I live in is dominated so uncontestedly by one gangster family that they are almost as invisible as they ubiqutous. For example it took me well over a year to discover that even my college students union is run by gangsters. I could never figure out why there was exactly one candidate per position and why the students union president was a big- but very polite- guy with gold jewelry. Now I know.

But things seem to be getting shaken up here. From what I've heard, the gangsters one might really want to worry about these days are the Russians. Apparently they have already taken over Busan and the Korean gangsters are having a rather hard time dealing with the old Spetznatz guys with actual combat experience that they can bring over when there's a problem. Has anyone else heard about the Russians taking over? Perhaps someone from Busan might have more of an insight on this.

I think there already is an ESL mafia in Korea, but you have to be invited to join. That is all I can say about it.
