I was honest and gave my 30 days notice last week. I said that my reason for leaving was that I didn't like the city, shity apartment, long bus ride to work etc... I told the director that if the airfare is too much then I want to stay in Korea and get another job. I said if it is a reasonable price, then I want to go back to my country. Was that a good idea?
So, what are the chances that I can get another job in Korea? I don't see why there would be any problem, do you? Visa run at next job etc.. no problem, right? Can I expect to get my degree returned and deposit back? No, my director is not an honest person. So what advice can you give? |

There's no reason why they should have your degree. Immigration gets a notarized copy, but the school has no need of anything but a regular photocopy if they need anything at all.
What kind of advice do you want now that you've hijacked SpecialK's thread?
Since you resigned mid-contract, you'll need to get a letter of release in order to get a new job. If your employer gives you that, then you'll have no problem getting a new job. Keep in mind that the employer has no obligation to provide a letter of release. |
