I think so. The first guy whose idea this was only has time on Sunday and I work from Mon-Fri...it was due to things like that that I broke up with my last girlfriend. She never did anything to try to restrain me but it still took time to be with her and there's no point in trying to have a relationship that you don't put time into.

I'm just talking with her on the logistics of the whole thing. I'm having a friend in from 뱸 this weekend so the one after would probably be good. I could choose the article(s) and send them out this weekend, then everybody can prepare for seven days, then the Sunday after that, February 6th, we can have the first class. Looks like there'll be three people plus me. I'll stay for the first one and then let it go from there I think.
She has a Cyworld page too, so I can give that to anybody who wants to know.

Actualy maybe I should have said upper intermediate. Here are the requirements I'm thinking to be in the class:

-Knows most grammatical terms. Can say things like ǰؼ, ǰϱ , ǰ ״ϱ, ǰ ٵ, ǰ ǵ etc. though not necessarily with blinding speed.
-Should be able to say just about anything you want though not necesssarily with the exact words you might want to use. I.e. if you forgot the word for politician (ġ) but can still get around it by saying 'a person who works in government'

I learnt that ġ was politician. Are ther two words then? Your idea is good, and I would say that I am approaching intermediate, but my listening is so poor! Yesterday, I was talking to a Korean woman in a bar about my girlfriend, and she said to me, Ȥ߾? I thought she had actually said ߾! So I was asking her in Korean why I would swear at my girlfriend! It caused a lot of confusion. Of course asking whether I tempted her quickly in Korean does sound like "did you swear at her"? Maybe after a few beers I would have the confidence to join you!

I've met mithridates and his korean is certainly on a level above most foreigners I've met in korea- well done.
I certainly wouldn't be able to keep up at such a conversation class:)I think I'll just keep plugging away at my occasional lessons from co-workers..

ġ turns up twice the results that ġ does but they are nearly the same word. The is which means person, and is ʫ which is a house but denotes an occupation.

I've selected the articles, two of them. I'll send them out in a few minutes. Since it's Friday today everybody will have over a week to prepare. If you get bogged down in the terminology you can always try a Babelfish or Google translation and see if you can get a feel from the article through that, and if you don't have a dictionary go to

kr.engdic.yahoo.com

and use that.

Hey, you're not telling me to dump my girlfriend just so I can take your class, am I?

WELL?

Surprised I should hope not. I just wasn't willing to sacrifice any of my free time for a girl before, no matter how much I liked her.

I'm just looking into reserving a place at Minto right now. I made a mistake about , it looked like it was right by the station but the directions say you have to take a bus from the station. That's no fun so I'm thinking the one in would be better.

Also tell me if the articles are too hard. I was thinking that even articles with difficult terminology would be okay if they were short enough.

Done! We have reservations for a six-person room in ̽Ű (the new one) from 2:00 ~ 4:50. The ten minute space is to allow the next people in without making anybody hurry around too much.
All done! Now all we have to do is show up.

Whoops, the teacher just reminded me that she has to go down south for . That means the class is postponed a week...it'll be the Sunday after this upcoming one!

In the meantime:

Surprised

Whoops... Considering the condition I was in at the time I posted that, I'm not to surprised that I screwed up a word like "team". Haha. No more soju-induced jjimjilbang PC room posts for me, uh-uh.

Ugh. Today's gonna be a long one.

Just bumping this up again so that everybody knows the class is next Sunday, not this one. The teacher is off visiting family in the south.
I'm moving today too.
