Meaner than a snake...(I teach in a middle school boys only) nah not really. But very strict. No cellphones. My school banned them. If I see one .....ooooh whooo it is mine. I give it to their homeroom teacher and let the beatings begin!

Comic books are mine also until I get 5 sentences in English why I should give the book back.

MP3 players should not be visible in my classroom or it is also mine. 1st time I get it for one class. 2nd time 5 sentences in English why I should give it back.

Generally writing lines for whole class works well as the other students often take care of discipline.

Standing in front of the class doing love hearts with their arms. (3rd year middle school students would rather be beaten with barbed wire.) Thanks CLG FOR THIS GEM!

If you are more than 10 minutes late to after-school class or camp you can just turn your butt around and go home.

All time favorite...If I catch notes being passed I take the note and pretend to read it outloud. Notes always seem to profess undying love for Miss ******. And stating how beautiful I am...and how they wish they could marry me.......Not much note passing after that.

I also carry the terminator ...big stick. Don't use it but it is one of those things where it is style not substance.

I have learned to be creative. I write on students backs if they are sleeping in class. (in chalk) some spend the day with "I sleep in English Class" on their suit jackets. Students will often let each other walk around like this all day.

We have a great time in our classes but I am above all things the teacher...students need that ....they need to know that someone is in charge and in my class it is me and my Korean co-teacher. Thank god my co-teachers do not interfere with my discipline and always support me.
