I was perusing the job board and noticed that many of the postings state:

Hours 2-9:30 Mon-Fri thirty hours a week

Now I am no math whiz but 5X7.5=37.5

Where the hell do they get off saying that this is only 30 hours?
Shouldnt 30 hours be the total time you are expected to be at a school?
Since when did 30 hours include seven and a half hours of free overtime?
Hell if they paid 7.5 hours overtime that wouldnt be a bad gig!

Any bets whether they would pay that overtime?

I'm sure they meant 30 teaching hours between 2-9:30. What's wrong with that?

if you want to pay for 30 hours then list 30 hours dont list 30 hours and claim 37.5 hours is 30 hours!

Fxck this teaching hour bullshyte~! If I am at work for 7.5 hours a day pay me for 7.5 hours a day. If you are only paid for time in the classroom where is the incentive to work hard and prep for your lessons? Do supplementary exercises? Improve on the curriculum?

The fact is, it doesnt matter how hard you work, or how little you work, as long as you show up on time and keep your students happy.

If there is an hour break during the day where I can go for lunch/dinner then list it.

If I have to be at a hogwan for 7.5 hours a day how many freaking classes am I going to work? When they list 30 fifty minute classes how does that add up to 7.5 hours a day?

Being forthright and honest seems to be a foreign concept to recruiters and hogwans.
