I know its not 'cause I looked it up.

It's one of those skills I learned in my school.

Your point being?

Why bother if you aren't going to contribute.......

I was overwhelmed, and I'm sure of that one
'cause I learned it back in grade school

When I was young

She said, "You is funny"
I said, "You are funny"
She said, "Thank you"
and I said, "Nevermind"
She rolled her eyes
Her beautiful eyes

The point is not the grammar
It's the feeling
That is certainly in my heart
But not in hers

underwhelm Audio pronunciation of "underwhelmed" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (ndr-hwlm, -wlm)
tr.v. underwhelmed, underwhelming, underwhelms

To fail to excite, stimulate, or impress: He is just as entitled to be underwhelmed by the prospect of reigning over a fourth-class nation as the rest of us are by the prospect of living in it (Peter Jay).

Aside from that.

Not a great movie but it had a few interesting parts.

But that is normal Scorsese style. I think that it would have been even greater if it was 20 minutes shorter.

Well for me the time flew by. I was ready for them to keep going through Hughes' entire life and see him going round as a down and out.

Just goes to show how different tastes are. Aviator was epic, with a great eye for historical detail, great performances by superb actors some of them imitating legendary past actors, and a portrait of a really interesting character that at least seemed to give you an insight into what drove him. It had top notch special effects and stunts for good measure. I don't know...what more do you want?

Gangs of New York....bleah. Smile

I went to highschool with most of them. They played a gig for us one afternoon before they became "Eric's Trip".

They did a kick-ass cover of "Living On A Prayer"

The Halifax scene that mirrored the Seattle one had the huge difference of being small, and everyone pretty much knew each other. which was slightly annoying since you had people who knew Sloan before they broke big talking endlessly about how they knew Sloan before they broke big.

Or, the people who knew Sloan before they were big and talked endlessly about how they knew Sloan before they were big, made their own mediocre band because they knew Sloan before they made it big.

Like Jale.

ok, i read all the posts, even Itaewon speaking on first name terms with "Martin" Very Happy

You guys know the movie's a remake right? Tell me you do... (hint: A Young Tommy Lee Jones)

And Leonardo Di Caprio shouldn't win an oscar because he's a softie.

I saw it this afternoon and I loved it. It was long but I didn't even notice. To tell you the truth, I was hoping it was going to keep going. I wanted to see him expand into jet engines.

Leo did a great job. He always does.

well the amazing howard hughes was a different story. howard had a great life until he was like 40 then he became a hermit.

two different movies. a remake? no! not AT all... another story on howard yes.. but by far not a remake!

leo emmm yes he was alittle wimpy.. but then again perhaps martin knows something about howard we dont! because if howard was more tougher martin can certainly bring it out on his actors..
