what was the name of that arcade game where you started in a bi-plane and had to shoot all the baddies, and as you progressed to higher levels, your plane got more modern, until you were flying in some sort of space-ship?
I loved that game. (And Galaga, too)

you ever noticed that all computer joysticks are crap? not the joysticks actually, but the controllers. you can buy adapters so that you can plug a playstation controller into your computer. that should solve your problems.

by the way, my vote for best site ever is www.wtfpeople.com. it's a collection of links and it had that video game site on it.

No. No log in needed. Hit enter a few times to get most games going.

I never finished the game because of that part.

Broke a controller, too...

I figure I'm older and wiser and possibly have a chance of finishing that beast now, but I'm also a little wary about the ergonomics of my keyboard as a NES controller.

Anyways, back to the eagle-slashing, wall-jumping, blue-clad warrior.

So you understand the pain too...nice to know there's someone in this world who knows... Surprised

Good luck with the older wiser thing. I bought an old nintendo and a bunch of games after college. Still couldn't beat it.

Sparkles. You are an evil evil man for doing this to me. I failed college from this stuff.

Well, and all the partying until morning classes started didn't help either.
One of my math professors eventually forbade me to come in her class room unless I had been to bed. It had been my habit to come in at 1130 AM ad get the homework assignment, ad then go home to sleep.

Stupid stupid stupid stupid.

And that's why I'm in the Army.

You can get just about anything from the Internet regarding old arcade games. You don't have to log in. You can go to other websites and download the Emulator and the ROMS and play until kingdom comes.

I wanted to use the cheat that gives you 30+ men, but alas, I no longer can remember it. There was a time when I could recite it better than I could the Lord's Prayer and the Big Mac jingle.

It sucks to grow old.

I believe that is the code.

Might be up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right B, A, B, A, Start.

Try switching the order of the A, B buttons.

Know your roots.

It is absolutely right.

And it is absolutely wrong how reflexively the answer sprung from my subconsious the moment I saw the question about the cheat code... Really, this was more than 15 years ago!!! I can't even remember what I studied in grade six, but I can remember some arbitrary sequence of buttons for some ancient game....

My kids aren't even getting a TV, I swear... Confused
