If you quit, you have to go in to immigration with your boss to file the paperwork together.
If you are fired, all you need is the release letter and you're on your merry way.
Simple as that. |

This is true, xcept being fired has ramifications.
immigration puts it on your 'record'. being fired more than once makes getting a thrid visa more difficult... in one certain case i know of, a third visa was refused by immigration.
The reason behind having both parties present with a release letter was to prevent forgery...so i was told. |

| I never heard of the Wanjang. going to immigration being a condition of LOR acceptance. Sounds a very local stipulation. Mokdong don't. |
