While Alias is doubtless right, still it is a bit weird. Every once in a while there are little pings of oddness in this universe.
I had a similar experience a couple of years ago. I was driving home and thought I'd like to see Dr. Zhivago, but there wasn't an open parking space near the video shop, so I thought what the heck. Got home and picked up the remote con. Turned on the TV and almost dropped it. In the process, I hit a button. The channel flipped, and Dr. Z was just starting on a channel I never ever watch. Good movie. Eerie feeling. |

Exactly. Some would refer to it as SYNCHRONICITY ...

Aspects of the subjective experience of schizophrenia have much in common with the subjective experience of synchronicity, in the sense that ordinary events are seen as having a direct personal relevance to the schizophrenic, but are seen as 'normal' by non-schizophrenics. |
Thanks for the link. Now I have to wonder if my mom is right when she tells me I am crazy for wanting to come back to Korea. |

A little more here for nostalgia buffs.
Was listening to a internet radio program this morning and THIS interesting little piece of info came up. Was all news to me ...
One person who did believe that it was Felt - at least initially - was Richard Nixon himself.
In the Watergate tapes, he is told by H.R. Haldeman that it was Felt who was doing the leaking. Nixon exclaims, "I'll fire the whole Goddamn Bureau!" Nixon, who also believed their was a Jewish conspiracy against him, then asked Haldeman, "Is he a Catholic?" Haldeman reported that Felt was a Jew.
Nixon asked incredulously, "Christ, put a Jew in there?" Feeding on Nixon's anti-Semitic views, Haldeman responds, "Well, that could explain it, too."
Hmmmmm ... now that's interesting.
Also, the Canadian chap talking this morning claimed the US media has essentially CENSORED this part of the tape Why? Because Nixon said "God-damn"? Because he'd off-handedly remarked dropping a nuke on Israel? Maybe. Let's not forget his further comments regarding Felt's assumed ethnicity are not all that PC these days ... now are they?
Anyways, i found it all interesting, insightful ... & amusing.

Listen HERE to a part of the clip where Nixon & Haldeman discuss Felt ...
http://whitehousetapes.org/clips/1972_1019_felt/
When Hoover died in May 1972, Mr Felt expected to take over, but a Nixon loyalist, Pat Gray, was sent in over his head, and blocked many of the Watergate investigations Mr Felt's department were pursuing.

The good news is that the revelation was so anti-climatic, and Felt so unassuming, that in about a year or so we'll all forget who he was, and the legend of Deep Throat can will go back to to being a mystery again. |
