Happy 4th of July everyone!

I bet my Italian grandfather, Bruno, is cooking up his homemade spagetthi right now and not allowing any of my family to eat hamburgers or have a good' ol American BBQ because we have to remain Italian..like he always does. My grandmother is cursing my grandfather in Spanish for smoking stogies, and my brothers are getting smashed on Corona beers. Ahhh, I miss home! Very Happy

Happy 4th y'all. And as for Bush, god bless him. I think he's far more entertaining then anyone else lately+ he has the gumption to do what he see's fit- even if it does bother a large group of unimformed hippies (I feel flames coming). Besides, for you haters out there...at least he's not Cheney.

I bet half my nephews and nieces have managed to set themselves on fire in the crossfire of roman candles and bottle rockets.

Crying or Very sad

I am missing it this year...

Last year I was tagged in the chest with a roman candle, and ended up spending the rest of the night up on the second floor balcony laying down a supression fire with bottle rockets. Little devils....

That was between beers, and burgers...

Did anyone else see the fireworks they were just shooting off over the Yongsan garrison?

I was sitting in my room and I started hearing explosions. Took me a second to realize it wasn't incoming artillery. I went out in the hallway and my housemate is like WTF is that?

Don't worry man, I think it's just fireworks.

Anyway I climbed the hill out back and watched it with some old German Americans. It was really pretty, but I'm wondering how everyone else in this part of town feels about having such a loud celebration of American nationalistic pride go off in the Korean capital.

I agree. But I'm also an admirer of the honorable gentleman featured in your avatar. I hope to see him in the Oval Office one day.
