I know, Joe.. I am Chinese.. born in Hong Kong, no less.

When I say *old style*, I didn't mean the characters themselves... I mean the way it is written. Bit like old English.. pray tell me blah blah, meaning, *please* tell me...

I don't know but I think an alphabet for Chinese might be a good idea.

There is a phonetic system for Chinese that is used in Taiwan; it's to help kids remember the characters. It's a lot like hangeul, too, something like a piddly 46 characters and super-easy to learn.

Pity no one uses it there besides kindy schools...*sniff!*...
