Hey.. I like KG and all... but as a Piston fan there is NO WAY you do this deal..

that would be a tragedy.

Interesting, to say the least. As much as I think it would backfire, If I'm Joe Dumars I make this trade.

Hey, it might even provide Darko a chance to show what he's made of.

2 controversies: JJ maybe or maybe not going to the Hawks because of a rift in the Atlanta ownership (personally I hope he stays put; the only time I want to be a good player on a bad team is when I'm playing as myself in NBA 2006), and Shareef Absurd Raheem failing his physical. Anyone wanna speculate on what's wrong with him?

BTW, I haven't read the KG-to-Pistons rumor anywhere else except here. FUBAR, what source were you quoting?

He didn't fail his physical.

http://www.nypost.com/sports/nets/26727.htm

Quote:

The Nets had a news conference scheduled for Thursday morning to introduce Abdur-Rahim, but an MRI found scar tissue in his right knee resulting from an injury he suffered in high school. He underwent arthroscopic surgery in 1993 and has never missed a game in college or during his nine-year NBA career because of a knee injury.

The article also says SAR doesn't want to be a Net any more. I don't really like SAR too much, but I understand why he is pissed. He took a below market deal to play for the team he wanted and then they balk at 12 year old injury that has never affected his college or NBA career.

Quote:
"Right now I don't feel I want to be a Net," Abdur-Rahim told The Post last night by telephone.

"At this point I feel they're doing me a disservice," said Abdur-Rahim. "Look at my history. I've never missed a game because of my knees. They could have asked the team that drafted me [Vancouver] or any of the teams that have traded for me [Atlanta, Portland]. Instead, they're putting it out there like I failed the physical and I'm damaged goods.

"I don't want to be there," continued Abdur-Rahim. "We can just part ways and I'll find another situation where I'll have to do some damage control."

How about the Cavs picking up Damon Jones? His monumental choke job in Game 7 of the Conference Finals notwithstanding, this is an excellent addition to the Cavs roster. I'm sad to see him leave Miami. Now who's going to pick up the slack, should the Jason Williams Experiment collapse?

Perfect play by the Cabs. Looks like the Eastern Conference is locked up.

And how about the Nets failing another player via a physical. Who's their physician, Dr. Death? I can imagine him reaching about his pestilent fingers... I think the Nets have killed all hope (if any) they have of signing any future FAs.

It was officially announced today that Rod Thorn is going to back up Marc Jackson at the four.
