What's a Korean "Russian Roulette"?

Taking a Russian prostitute with the clap and sending her to a booking club. Twisted Evil

Just checked out all the responses to my post and there are some interesting bits of information. I've never heard missy bars. I take it these are the places with the bored ajummas?
So Komtengi, would you care to reveal some of your past missy/juicy bar experiences?? Laughing

I guess not.

Well I decided to bump this thread back to the top after reading an article in the Chosun Ilbo about 'naked dancing' contests in certain Kangnam/Itaewon nightclubs or booking clubs. I'm really curious as to what these clubs are like. Do they accept foreigners? How much would you be expected to pay for a night in one of these places?

Anywhere will take your money so foreginers will be excepted. But I got to behonest man , about 1/20 girls will sit down for you. Even as a Korean Canadian , a lot of the girls wont stay long if you can't speak or are pouring them some expensive booze. If you can pick up girsl regardless, then you shouldn;'t waste your money, although it is fun to go. It's essentially speed dating. You're better off going to a bar and buying drinks, or if you want to get laid hit a double pole up.

I heard in gangnam - Oh Charleys has a lot of ajumahs that want to party.

As a newbie in one of my first few months in Korea I had a 27 year-old Korean co-worker take me to a booking club in Suwon. I didn't speak a lick of Korean and didn't really know what was going on for the most part. The crowd was young, mostly under 30 I would say. I was the only white face in the place and was assured by my co-worker that I would never get in if I wasn't with him and his buddy wasn't in management there.

I found it uncomfortable and awkward watching waiters drag (literally) girls from table to table. From what I was told, it's essentially a hook-up joint equivilant to the single's bar scene in the west. The girls get in for free, the guys pay at the door and then for a table. Girls get delivered to your table, you chat, have a drink, dance, and if there is no connection you call the waiter who takes the girl to another table and brings you a fresh face. Seemed mightily demeaning to the women...

My co-worker told me that eventually most of the people will find someone they click with and head to a love motel. It appeared to be one-night standville rather than a search for a real relationship. Not many girls wanted to come to our table because of the waegukkin present. One massively inebrieted gal who spoke some English was brought over and decided she liked me. As she could barely sit up in the booth and reeked of soju I wasn't so attracted to her. My friend called the waiters over to "take her away" and she put up a fight. Three men literally dragged her away kicking and screaming while my Korean friend kept telling me not to look at her or make eye contact with her. It was an ugly, sad experience and I was happy to go home alone that night.

There was an amateur strip dance competition on stage, first for men, then for women. The men's competition was filled with guys who were doing it for the comic value (silly underwear etc.), while the women's competition was all about showing off a smokin' hot body. At this place the competition ended at bras and g-strings (for both sexes). I don't know how this compared to the gangnam scandal.

From what I could tell (and i could be wrong) the booking club scene is about sex, but not prostitution, unlike juicy bars and the other establishments geared towards businessen. Just good ol' fashioned shallow, sexist, consentual lusts of the flesh....here in the conservative land of the morning calm.
