24. cheap & convenient taxis
25. smokers & drinkers arent considered social deviants
26. lucrative work & negligible taxes
27. no tipping
28. no beggars, persistent touts, or pickpockets
29. war & terror-free, even moreso after N. Korea's concessions today
30. 4 distinct seasons!

40) Non-stop traditional festivals every month throughout the year

41) Andong Mask Dance Festival
(deserves a special mention, it's that good, also it starts on the 30th of this month!)

42) Korean traditional folk (not court) music

43) mask dancing

44) hapkido and taekkyon

45) the great friends I've met

46) all the stuff I've learned here
(even when it was a hard thing to go through at the time)

49) Haggling like a madman to get a reasonable price

A cushy upbringing in the price-as-marked West and a short while in Hong Kong & Japan left me singularly ill-equipped in the Haggling Skills Department. Korean merchants, employers, clients and estate agents have all done wonders for me in this area.
