I used to be a big partyyyyer and used to have a good time in many ways. Partying in New York, Miami, Chicago, Bermuda, Puerto Rico and such. Hog-nosing with the rich, living it up and such.
I have back country snowboarded all over BC, windsurfed, surfed, white water kayaked, mountain biked, hiked, camped and so on.
The best time I have ever had is finding out about Jesus.
Jesus is Awesome. His kingdom is eternal and will last forever. Angels, cherubim, elders and priests all stand before His throne and worship Him. Those who are found in Christ will reign with Him for eternity. Creating new worlds, learning new sounds, tasting new things, being filled with awe and wonder. Pleasures so indescribable that we cannot even comprehend what God has in store for us.
When I didn't know Jesus, the pleasure that I engaged in were empty and angonizing. Pleasureable, but only for a moment. Wanting to be fulfilled again. Some pleasures bring horrible consequences.
The pleasure of the Lord is rich and deep. The more you taste the more you want. But it's not in a unsastisfying way, but in a deep meaningfull way. It fills you over and over again. You have no idea what you are missing. |

It'll suck for you if you're wrong hey, who's to say that Jesus wasn't some kind of evangelist (sp) even in todays age of skeptisim people swallow lies that they are fed, a la cult....(insert cult name here).
So in Jesus's time, imagine how vulnerable and uneducated people were, you tell someone that you are the son of God and they want to believe you, if you spend years building your credibility (like an evangelist) and a following (apositles..sp) it's easy to get credit to your story.
If a celebrity can become a Governor what stops a carpenters son from becoming a god?
I think its swell that you have blind faith, but I think I will believe in something that doesn't want to see me burn in hell for something that I can't change, (being gay) |

Just because you are gay doesn't mean you are going to hell. I am sorry that you have believed this lie. FB, I know God takes pleasure in you right now as who you are. I do believe you can change and there is a greater purpose for who you are, but that doesn't mean God loves you any less.
If you were to go to Hell it is because you rejected His love expressed in His son, Jesus. FB, believing in Jesus isn't blind faith. It is about the heart. You know Jesus is alive, because He makes you feel alive. You know longer feel dead.
I am not going to go into the depth of this, but I do believe gay people can make it to Heaven. I don't think they enter into God's highest purpose, but I do believe they can make it.
One time, my wife's friend, was crying in church. She was bulimik and felt ashamed of her failure. Jesus came to her and told her that if she was a bulimic for the rest of her life, that He would still love her. That love is what empowered her to overcome her disability. This love overcomes all things.
FB, it is all about the desire in your heart. Who do you long to be? That is what God measures you by. Do you want to help out people? Then God is extremely happy about that. You want to love people. He is extremely glad that you can love men. Many men can't. Maybe this is expressed in a way that isn't for your best purpose, but He still sees that love in you. |

I have to agree with those posters who've expressed an interest in delving into the mystery of the Christ. It's quite something really.
I often wonder how he would feel if he were "born again" (Greek?) and living among us ... now. Would he essentially approve of so-called Christians? What would his main criticisms be?
Hypocrites !!!
What would he have to say on topics such as the Gnostic Gospels? The Essenes? Dead Sea Scrolls? Buddhism? Karma?
Did he actualy survive the crucifixion? What "really" happened?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuz_Asaf
Anything BUT boring, whoever HE really was, whether a mushroom or a full-fledged philosophical & spiritual martyr, you mention his name & you've got a discussion
Jesus (Latin of Greek Iesous from Hebrew Yeshua` contraction of Yehoshua` a proper name meaning savior or helper, or that which is spacious or widespread)
Panthera or Pandira
According to the apocryphal Jewish writing Sepher Toledoth Yeshua` (book of the genealogy of Jesus), Jesus was the son of Joseph Panthera, supposed by tradition to have been a Roman soldier, and Mary; hence he was known as Ben Panthera (Panthera's son).
Still bored ? |

The great thing is that He is alive and living among us. Why don't you ask Him? |

Interesting issue the OP made. Jesus is boring!
I just have two questions, no. 1 why do you care what people talk about on this forum if it doesn't hurt you personally. I have seen a few issues raised here, don't agree with them so I ignore them. Do you need to let us know what you think and why?
No. 2, Is Jesus boring because you don't like him or because you don't understand the reason some other people do?
Anti anything for no good reason doesn't say much about the issue, but it does raise questions about the person. |

Guys, the OP is referring to the countless Jesus threads as of lately. Post what you want, but that is a bit excessive. |
