In fact lefties use their right brain as the dominant function. Right brained people are usually more kinesthetic learners and are more gifted in the arts, music, dancing and singing.

Thanks, but I already knew that. I was trying to be humorous.

Here's a question for you all then: I was born left-handed and continued to be left-handed until I reached kindergarten when my teacher, a Nun at a catholic school, decided I would be right-handed, which I am to this day. Where exactly would I fit in the statistics? And, despite writing, using the mouse, throwing a ball, swinging a bat/golf club/hammer etc. with my right hand, I still brush my teeth and eat with my left.

This happen to anyone else.

And, I don't speak latin, but I know a little Italian. The reason left-handers are 'sinister', sinestra is italian for left. Just incase anyone else didn't get it.

I didn't say they were gay, big thinker. I posted a study which showed a link, however tenuous. Don't be so defensive, eh?

It sounds like you may be ambidextrous. Kids learn so easily when they are younger, maybe your brain wasn't fully wired as a youngster and was easily changed. Just like kids learn languages at a younger age.

I wasn't aiming my finding at you at all. Just making a statement eh. Not defensive at all. Interesting study findings Corporal. The gay link does make sense considering many lefties are more artsy.

We were talking about it in Korean class the other day. It is still standard practice in China to force people to be right-handed, partly because the writing system there is difficult for left-handed writers. One of our classmates, in fact, was a chinese woman who writes with her right hand but eats etc with her left. Japanese students said it used to be normal to do this in Japan, too, but not nowadays.
