I left from Pearson on Air Canada and Air Canada refused to let me on the plane without a return ticket. But they gave me a ticket that was refundable. The money was back on my credit card in a week. |

I do the Japan thing..
I book one of those ferry tickets from busan to Fukuoka for about 90 000won as my outward ticket.. |
Is there a site where you can reserve these ferry tickets online. I can only find phone numbers for travel agents?
Cheers

There was but it has turned into japanese...
What your best bet is, is this...
Go to a travel agency and say you want to book a one-way ticket on the Busan-Fukuoka Beetle ferry and get the documenatation in your hand to show proof that you have an onward ticket from Korea... |

Twice I've tried to leave Canada with only a one-way ticket, and twice I had been unallowed to leave - had to buy a refundable return ticket...
The second time, before I had left Korea, I had booked a flight to Japan with Asiana and printed off my proof of reservation... I was told that it was invalid, and would have to buy a return ticket...
To be safe, just purchase a return ticket, and as soon as you get here, or as soon as you find work, send the ticket home and have it refunded - kind of a pain in the neck, but I was told that refundable tickets can only be refunded from the original purchasing place... But, this was Air Canada, and Air Canada is one of the crappiest airlines out there... |
