This is decent advice, but don't you think you're under-reacting? If I was this guy, I'd go ahead and start looking for coffins and a place to have my funeral. If you shop around you can get a really good price.
...malaria lasts a lifetime. ah, why do i go to doctors when i can get top-notch medical advice like this on dave's.
...and wait a minute. vaccinated against malaria??
...and furthermore, to the OP, its DETER mosquitoes. man, i'm angry this morning. |

i didn't unpack for weeks and realized that an entire generation was living within my luggage--guess they liked the warmth and quiet.
go through every nook and cranny to wipe out the demons. |

I know this is repeating what others have said, but it's true. The mosquitoes are smarter here than they are in Vancouver. During the first two weeks I was here, I got over twenty bites. Now that I have been here for six weeks, I have counted over 40 bites on my body. I have been using the plug in mosquito thing that sends out some kind of repellent. It doesn't smell that bad and it seems to be working. I wear long pj's to bed with socks on my feet and socks on my hands. I make sure everything is tucked in and it seems to keep me 'bite' free.
You can purchase a cream from the drug store that really helps with the scratching issue. It's only about 3000 won. Just tell them/show them what your problem is and they'll know what to give you. |

First of all the mosquitos that carry the malaria disease only exist in certain areas of Korea....mostly in or near the DMZ.
Secondly you cant get vaccinated against malaria...you can only start treatment to minimize your chances of catching it.
Thirdly....just how does a hotel protect you from mosquitos?

It's Homemat, not homemate, It works like a dream.
Homemat will keep you Mogi free and it is cheap to run, mosquito coils are good for island trips and such but they;re bloody messy things, they get dust on everything and are very dirty. |

To cure mosquito problems, you MUST get one of those electric plug-in things with the blue wafers. Mine say 'Mogsol' on the box. They work 100% for me. I used to get tons of bites, but have not received a single bite when the thingy is plugged in. You must change the wafer each night though.
Here's a pic of my arm when I left it sticking out of the covers for about 20 minutes one night. 5 bites in a row. A few nights later, after I got the magic electric plug-in, I had none!
