Hey, Guangho!!! Thanks!

Haa! You mangled the quotes -- putting my words in BBE's mouth.

Say, where are you now?? Can't tell from your "Location"... That could be China OR Korea. Confused

Hey Big Black Guru! I'm in the People's Republic and still say the People here need to be told that the Republic is Theirs. Cool Alas, I will get on the good ship America in 2 weeks and spend a fun filled holiday watching my elders continue the 30 year war (now in year 33!) After that....I hope I can get that Peru Uni job....unless you have a Guru Uni you want me for.

I almost forgot --

CONGRATULATIONS on your CELTA, Guangho!

So, teaching English is all rocket science now, isn't it? Wink

Well, you got the damnable thing at last, and nobody can say those back-alley printers of Beijing don't know what they're doing, right?

Good going there, G-Man!

Well I was in Mexico City a few months ago and I got "accosted" by 2 kids doing the same kind of assignment. So it's not just Korea!!!

They were loitering outside a museum to "borrow" a foreigner for a few minutes. These 2 kids could actually speak decent English, though, and they had a video camera. I think they had to transcribe my words afterwards. Or maybe just show it to the rest of the class.

After your experience, I do think you should be considered an honorary ESLer. You now know what it's like to break out in cold sweat when they tell you the schedule has been changed, two classes of different levels have been combined and you will start teaching them in 3 minutes.

Welcome to the club.

Ah, OK. That's encouraging to know. But I feel so disabused now Smile
