There is only one God, but according to His various activities and qualities He has many different transcendental names. Moreover, because in the material world there are many different types and classes of people with different levels of understanding, only some aspects of God are revealed accordingly. |
which of course raises the question: Why do the hindus need their own place to worship?
If all gods are the one god, why dont they just go worship at the Russian church?
You say one thing with one breath and contradict it with the other. |

There are many different types of people, and different religious traditions have there origins at different periods of time and places. Although God is one, the message is adjusted according to different (group) levels of understanding and experience, and details of worship may vary.
Whenever I visit my parents I visit the Armenian church, and I recognize that the same God is present there that is present in a Krishna temple. More advanced devotees understand that God is not just present in a church or temple - but in the hearts of all living entities - and in his own abode in the spiritual world...Less intelligent religionists and spiritualists associate God with nationalism, and often confuse worship of God with demi-god worship....(Also some churches are more corrupt and involved with mundane politics than others...)
Another point is that many popular forms of both Christianity and Hinduism confuse worship of a guru or universal spiritual master (like Jesus) with worship of God. Although the spiritual master may be considered as good as God, or even more merciful than God, he is not identical to the infinitely great supreme God. There is no harm in regarding one's own spiritual master or savior as the best - as long as one doesn't unnecessarily criticise and attack other religions... |

One should not unnecessarily criticise another religion (that may be on a higher - or lower - level). The materialistic motives for doing so are usually ignorance and envy. When sectarian religionists make remarks like this "Archbishop" did they reveal themselves to be either fools bereft of spiritual knowledge - or else demons in the guise of "religious leaders".
This guy seemed particulary disturbed by various descriptions of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In the (expanded) Vishnu form, God does rest on a mystic serpent, Ananta Sesa, who constantly chants Sanskrit mantras in glorification of the Lord with his one-thousand tongues:
Note that Vishnu, God, is the central figure, flanked by the two most powerful demigods: Brahma (in charge of engineering universal creation through a mystic yoga process - his lifespan extends 311 trillion human years...) and Siva (another fully empowered mystic yogi in charge of various partial annihilations that occur during each night of Brahma and the total annihilation that takes place at the end of Brahma's lifetime ...
The Russian troll also has a problem with Krishna's casual appearance and reputation for "lascivious" behavior (He's not a "nice God"). Because He is the Supreme Pure, there is no taint of material contamination in any of Krishna's transcendental relationships (displayed on this planet about 5000 years ago - and still remembered and glorified by devotees...)

No, colored is just fine. If purple gods get it done for you, more power to you.
Is Barney in your pantheon too? |

No, not the purple dinasaur (- Barney Rubble, perhaps...) And Oprah is reviving "The Color Purple" on Broadway, but I'm not sure there's a connection...(BTW, only some Hindus worship a "pantheon" - my group believe there is only one God - known by different names and to varying degrees among various religions ...) |

A new website was launched giving comprehensive background information and updates on the united Krishna/Hindu Russian campaign:

Here are some pics of Krishna devotees bloodied by thugs backed by the Russian government and Russian Orthodox Church:
