Hey beaver, I thought of another good one, you could do planet of the apes, thats another classic. Basicly I'll give you the run of my 4th year media class:

1) We watched some in class and had to watch some at home
2) We had to write an essay on similarities between certain movies....doubt you want to do that
3) Something that wouldn't be too dificult is to make them do a summary with:
Plot Overview
Character List(what characters they found most intriguing or important)
Analysis of that character list
Themes
Motifs
Symbols

I think the kids will love the anumated movies. The last thing you want is to force them to watch something boring or not appealing to the masses. We wrote alot of essays and I doubt you want to do that but you can easily take a few classes to discuss the topics I mentioned above.
