I used a recruiter in '92 and things worked out great. But they are no longer in business.
As we've seen here, many work out fine.
Just remember that using a recruiter does not mean you should close your eyes and hope things go well. While the recruiter can set you up with a school, you still need to do your research and talk to the teachers already at the school and even someone who has left if possible.
Ask about everything! Is the contract followed, are you paid in full and on time, do you like the job, is the apartment decent, is the city what you hoped it would be - ask specifically for problems - ask if you will get assistance and direction in the classroom (a double-edged sword!).
As anything and everything you can think of. Long distance phone calls are cheap - particularly compared to the cost of making a bad decision! |
