I am an American marrying a Korean. In order to get the F2 visa, after registering the marriage at the US embassy in Seoul, has anyone heard of having to also register in your home state before getting the F2? I always thought registering at the embassy was enough, but I am being told differently now. |

I'm from the UK but, I also had to register back home on top of the embassy - I asked my Mum to do it and she did - wasn't hard, just a phonecall to get an address and then I sent her a copy of the papers, she sent them on and we are married in Korea and the UK. |

No, the CRC is not a requirement for the F-2, that is a requirement for the E-2 and working at schools. Sometimes employers will ask you for a CRC if you have your own F-2, and it is a common courtesy to provide one to them, although most F-2'ers provide local Korean police reports instead. |

So what's the difference between F-2 and F-2-1 visas? I have my ARC and passport and they both say F-2. |
