Fifi Trixibelle is actually spawn of Bob Geldof, who also gave the world "Pixie" and "Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof." The blame for these names might fall more heavily on his wife, Paula Yates, whose other daughter is called "Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily."
It's fun to search for crazy celebrity names, but I've got a few up my sleeve too. My father and I used to scan the local birth announcements for horrible names. We've never forgotten
Jet Black
Robby Ryan and Bobby Bryan (twins)
I taught a little girl named November. People always asked her about her birthday, and when she replied that it was in July, you should see them doing the math (trying to work out her conception). No dice.
I went to school with a sad little misfit called Starlin Buddick. She told us she would also answer to "Starbabe." I'm sure she would have if we had called her at all.
I also went to school with a "Crystal Waters" but there has to be a special place in baby-name hell for the couple whose family name was Lear, and named their daughter Crystal: middle name Shanda. |

Actually went to school with a Mike Hunt.
Every day they would call out roll to check everybody was in study hall and not skipping it. This old hag English teacher (grammar police babe) would call out his name and be completely clueless about it. It was still 6th grade, so most everybody else didn't laugh too much at that.
Man, but when she said, "Where's Mike Hunt. Anybody seen him?" That was the worst ! I could have acid flash-backs that weren't as vivid and unnerving as that vision of my private little hell. I think everyone else was doing that too because no one really laughed at all, just stunned silence.
The boy was always in a constant pissed off state, and you could tell he really tried to be the hardass for the *beep* he was ! |

This site has some good ones:
http://www.notwithoutmyhandbag.com/babynames/index.html
"I'm thinking of naming my baby Vashara Rashea."
That sounds ominously close to part of the chant to summon the demon Pazuzu!
Brittany after the statue- Brittania
'Cause nothing in, say, France is called Britanny. Nothing big like a province. Nothing else in England called Britannia, either. Nothing big like...England.
Their hatred of this particular woman is the only thing England and France have agreed on since 1066.
"We like the name Loudon for a boy - Loudon Phillips (although we don't have a middle name yet). I can't decide if this is too different. I think it's cool as it reminds me particularly of a drummer or some type of musician."
Um.....yeah. Hope they don't mind being called London or Loudy until their untimely spontaneous combustion/vomit-choking/freak gardening accident.
"My boys are Skyler Wayne and Austin Edward. I don't even know were to start with a girl. If it is a boy I like the name Dalton."
He'll have a wonderful childhood as his brothers attract all the abuse. He can grow up to be a retail book seller!
"I'm expecting triplets in April and we've picked out the girls names: Alexana Chenaur and Kia Nicasey. the boy my husband wants to name Richard Allen, I think it's a bit boring and prefer Shaden Elijah. Last name Zane. What do you think? I prefer unusual but not to far out."
Chenaur - She can grow up into a half-man, half-bull who roams the labyrinth!
"My husband and I have already decided to name our son Cinsere. It's unique and it will be the first name in our family that is non-traditional. Many of our family members disagree with our decision, but we have decided and nothing is going to change our minds. We appreciate their opinions, but it is our choice."
And again the spectre of mule-headedness raises its mule head. So why'd you ask for the family members' opinions if you don't actually give a crap what they say? Funny, that's not very (snicker) "cinsere."
"My name is Cheri and my husbands name is Chris and our first born is named after his father, Christopher. If I have a girl her name will be Chloe Lynn and if it is a boy I like the name (Shaun) Douglas but I would like to spell it Chaun so that all our names start with "Ch". I noticed that it is not a listed spelling for that name. What do you think?"
See, this is what Martha Stewart hath wrought. She's made people obssessed with having matched sets of things, even if it means scarring your kids.
"I am having a girl in March. Name is going to be Kali. Can't decide on middle name."
Isn't Kali some sort of Hindu underworld deity? A+ on research!
"I am thinkimg of naming my girl Oleo. But my husband has a different idea and wants to name her Rodana! What do you think?"
Look at that name. Oleo. Look at it and try not to think of cookies. Try really hard. (I think this is a focused visualization technique used by Weight Watchers.)
Of course, if you're older or Southern, naming your kid Oleo is the same as naming them Land o'Lakes or Parkay, so there's no way to avoid your food issues, even if you wanted to. |
