Man can you read?? The OP said its not a teaching gig. Even if it was *beep* the students. Haqwons don't give a flying rats ass about us why should we care about their students.

If you give notice, it is true the legal ramifications against you are probably nil. The point is, they can try to screw you on pay and a whole host of other things.

Within the last two weeks my school did quite a few things to try to screw me. I honestly started to doubt whether I'd even get paid.

Grotto said it best in another thread, hagwon owners need to realize foreign teachers are NOT slave laborers.

I must be blind....my bad. However, my opinion remains the same.. tell them you're leaving and deal with it like a man. I'm assuming nobodoy here is an expert in Korean law....so just to be safe, give them proper notice also to protect yourself.

And MilwaukieDave....I am not a director. Maybe you think you know me. I seriously doubt it. Anway, I wish I was one. Got any openings? And I wasn't aware ALL directors screwed over ppl too. Wow, thx for the info. Way to generalize! You da man Dave!
