Yes, your assessment of my post is accurate. I have not read the book.

Very astute of you.

I do thank you for your well-studied opinion on the matter, I shall take your advice into consideration.

As far as the book happening to coincide with my politcal views, I only have this to say:

You have said that Canadians need to examine their motivations and see if there is not some "anti-Americanism" behind some of their feelings.

A point well taken, but I suggest that Americans may need to examine the motives of their government's foreign policies and see if there are legitimate reasons for such sentiments.

I wish I could remember the exact quote of Wm. Blum but what I can remember is , "there are reasons", refering to reasons for anti-Americanism worldwide.
