No way BBE was Derrek. Derrek wasn't a stupid man, by far, but he never betrayed any flare with the English language or an ability to convey deeper thoughts. BBE was a much better, insightful writer. |

Beg to differ. Just take a stroll through the tech section and see how similar their interests were. They also share a fondness for criticizing Canada, despite BBE claiming to be Canadian.

That's why I thought he was Derrek. And he had intimate knowledge of Bundang.
Once someone gave him an obscure Canada quiz. Nothing you couldn't answer with google. His responses were pretty funny and he knew how to turn a phrase, an ability I never saw in the real Derrek.
If BBE was Derrek, it leads me to believe Derrek truly finds his muse writing as a gay black Canadian. Which is disturbing for so many reasons. |
