I have a routine... first night: Mexican dinner. First morning: western-style breakfast cooked by my father.

Going for a big fat juicy Alberta beef stake with a loaded baked potato, caesar salad and a caesar drink on the side at the Keg Stakehouse and Grill. Ahhhhhhhhh.........

Gotta be (in no particular order):

- eat at the best Indian restaurant in Ontario (Raja in Stratford)
- sit back with old friends and a few bottles of red
- stay in bed for a few days with my honey Laughing

Yep, now I'm homesick, thanks. Rolling Eyes

Well, first there's going to be the cigar store. That is, the first cigar store--Enrico's cigars in Wyckoff to get the good stuff (Opus X and other Fuentes). Then swing back to JR Cigar in Whippany and see everyone I used to work with, grab a box of the more simple stuff (probably Punch). It'll be good to get away from all this Cuban crap they sell here.

After that it'll be the grocery store--get some semolina flour for spaghetti and pancetta for the carbonara, fresh tomatoes and basil for bruschetta. Back home, cook all of it for the family, then sit outside on the porch with a cigar and coffee.

9 weeks! I'll have a nice normal Friday: I'll go to a grocery store, where the samples they're handing out won't be mandu and this grocery store WON'T be serverly overstaffed.

I'll buy all the hummus and unsweetened Quaker Oats oatmeal my little heart desires, perhaps pick up a jar of mango or raspberry salsa, and then head next door to the liquor warehouse and pick out a nice bottle of merlot. Head home, order pizza from the only pizza place in town and get pizza the way I want it, and then binge on Ben and Jerry's with my best friends.

(and Saturday morning I'll work it all off on MY treadmill... and then look for the nearest Korean restaurant ) Shocked

Funny- everyone mentioned food! Me, too- first thing I do after renting a car at O'Hare is to drive to the nearest White Castle and pick up about 20 sliders to bring home to my mom (she freezes them). On my 5 hour drive home, I always stop at the mall and drop a wad of cash. Last time I went home, my eye make-up started running into my eye (a result of being up for over 24 hours and not washing my face). My eyes started tearing up while I was making my purchase at Banana Republic. The salesgirl probably thought I was tearing-up because of the amount total...

Ilovebdt- can't you make a pickle and cheese sandwich in Korea? ^^

Yu Bum Suk, you can get mac and cheese in Korea. Is it just me, or have they increased the sodium content in their cheese powder?

Go to Oh So Good in the Byward Market....mmmm, BEST desserts ever.....!! Razz

Oh...lay on my couch!!

Yah, this makes me homesick too...but soon enough I'll be home!!

I have to admit, even crotchety old anti-Canada me who hasn't been in home in 7 years because, well, it's fucking Canada, I'm feeling excited to go home for a looksee.

Mind you, I won't pack until the day I leave because that's just traditional.
