How long have you been in Korea. A hogwan boss can manufacture heaps of reasons for holding back money if you are about to leave Korea.
He can hold money saying that he will send what is left after all the bills have come through on your accommodation.
He can make claims that you haven't looked after your appartment and therefore he has to pay to remodel the place.
He can blame you for loss of students and say that he isn't going to pay you everything as you have cost him a lot of money.
He can try to claim that you own him the costs of finding a replacement for you.
Now that should be enough for you to get the idea of what can happen. |

The hogwon boss has already breached the contract by not paying the employee, as contracted, on time. Therefore, there is no way he has grounds to "charge" the employee for anything for him wanting to return home [PERIOD] He can't HOLD any money if the dude waits for his next pay check, and then boogies out the door. Not everyone has had as bad of an experience as it appears that you have. |
