From Wolfenstein 3D to Quake 4, I've been a FPS fan since the 3D genre was born.

It's more about time for me. I have never (well, rarely) been able to sit and game for 3 or 4 hours straight, and don't want to play a gmae that takes too long to unfold.

My time is tight, so I like to fire it up and jump right in to some fun. I did play Doom for a personal record time, as well as HL2...that was a hard game to stop. Counterstrike source was also a time killer...

I have to say that lately, the RPG genre is getting a lot of good titles coming out. I just can't bring myself to get into it though.

I still have a blast with Quake 3: Team Arena.

If you have an Xbox, the EA title Black is awesome. It's one of the few games I've played where ammo is never an issue, and you're encouraged to keep your finger on the trigger. There are lots of elements to each level, too. Sniping, close quarters shotgun wetwork, bombed-out buildings where enemies fire from all sides, etc. It's a riot.

PDZ on the 360 is also pretty cool.

"Black" sounds like a "Serious Sam" expansion! Har! That game was wayyyyyy over the top as well. I don't have an X-BOX and won't hold my breath for a port, but it does sound fun.

One of my current faves is a game based on the movie "The Warriors" It's by Rockstar games (GTA series) and starts out long before the warriors became the warriors and you get to see how all the characters joined the gang. Pretty simple game though, just rampant destruction.

Anyone else playing Hitman: Blood Money?

Great stuff. I was never a real fan of the series until now. It seems they were missing something for me...maybe I didn't give it a fair enough chance until now.

Graphics are really nice the AI, missions, locations and 'feel' is spot on this time.

Highly recommended for a FPS fan.

Any reason this isn't in tech?!

So you'd recommend it? I got a demo disc with a recent copy of Playstation magazine and it looks tough. I remember playing the first one years ago and it was almost impossible without a walkthrough guide.

Actually a fairly serious, technical shooter. The only major difference is that the clip capacities are huge and you can carry tons of ammo.

Just picked up Blood Money yesterday. Can't wait to get into it.

I'm also really, really pumped up to try Table Tennis. Pretty unusual release from Rockstar, of GTA fame.

When I think gamer I don't think videogames but rather role-playing such as DandD. But in terms of videogames I put other because I love simulation games, like the Sims etc. Tied for second place are rpgs and puzzle games. I've spent way too many hours of my early adulthood playing mmorpgs, but I guess they count as rpgs.
