As a girl who's totally not into football but really can't escape it for a while...

I'd have to say Owen should play as he's by far the best looking of the three. Crouch and Rooney are both ugly, so I'd like to see LOTS of Owen, maybe with Theo Walcott playing a supporting role, if Owen's stamina isn't up to the task...

Re Hargreaves: I watched a few Bayern games when I lived in England and he had some decent moments and always seemed to make the starting 11, but for England he's never been anything but pure gash. Leave him out. We need to stick with Gerrard and Lampard in midfield because there's great potential. Stevie G will have to take a few risks and go forward a lot from his holding midfielder position.

Owen always seems to have his moment in the big competitions. He played utter sh1te in Euro 2004 and then scored a great goal against Portugal. If the pace has gone as everyone says, however, then he's not much use because pace was his biggest (only?) asset. Crouch is an unfashionable player but he scored a vital goal in the previous game (I know he should've scored more) and should retain his place. Plus, what's the point having Beckham and Downing on the flanks and having two little fellas up front? Crouch and Roon, in short.
