Thanks for all the responses. I just signed another contract with my current company which means I'll be staying in Seoul for next year(3rd and final year!) I like getting together with my friends and really enjoy going out to the bars and clubs on the weekend(Hongdae and Gangnam but not the 'Won). Although Hangang park is not nearly as nice as Lake park(so crowded on the weekends!), at least it is a place to go rollerblading and running. I guess the incentives of being in Seoul just won out in the end along with the extra cash. I also thought about the winter months when it wouldn't be so fun outside which left La Festa as my main source of entertainment(love shopping but no thanks). I also figured that my chances of being placed close to that area were very slim. As dirty and noisy as Haebangchon can be, at least I'm close to a lot of fun areas as well as Namsan(which can be a nice and easy hike). Anyways, thanks for all your input!
