Demophobe may have been a smartass in his original reply but you have been an asshole. Demophobe was correct in looking for more info as there was nothing to go on in the OP.

Demophobe was sarcastic and very unhelpful in his first reply. This is not how you should treat people. He got everything he deserved and is an a$$hole. The OP's question was vague, but being sarcastic right off will only scare the poster off or make him confrontational (which happened). It seems all you have lost sight of the fact Demophobe started this and needs to be criticized and his post shown to be useless and counterproductive (I did this in another thread, this time I just told him to f-off). Maybe he will stop these less that useful posts.

Who is more an asshole anyways? The person who attacks someone who is attacking the OP who doesnt' know any better and trying to help the OP, or the one who is just attacking for no reason. You seriously need to think about that.

Mate...really...knock it off already. What's the real problem here? There are many greater fiends on the forum, yet I don't see you running around blowing your little whistle on them.

I was unhelpful and sarcastic. Yes! Some light is getting in! Did you see the "Sorry" in there as well? That's a "word" and it too has meaning...along with everything that wasn't written you are crying about.

I will stop being myself because of you? There you go...how much worth you place in yourself. Not a chance, Dudley...keep calling foul, keep your all-seeing eye on me and be prepared for the inevitable ulcer I will bring you.

Now go and find a worthy cause for your crusading self, would you? As I said, the forums are calling you and all the sarcasm that needs your sword of justice awaits.

Happy hunting.

You are right, there are much worse that you here. But the only reason I am picking on you is the posts you are sarcastic in are only asking for help. They aren't about religion, America, whatever. There might be an actual need for a real answer, and like I said, you come in these ones with sarcasm, fists fly up and nothing is accomplished and the OP's have no answer (which may have been important). If they are vague, say so without the sarcasm.
I don't get ulcers. Actually, it's amazing how stressfree I am Wink

In a store.

Sorry, but a pretty vague question.

I'm sorry, perhaps I'm misunderstanding all the crap that's being thrown at Demophobe for this first reply. It's my understanding that he meant

vague
adj. vaguer, vaguest

1. Not clearly expressed; inexplicit.
2. Not thinking or expressing oneself clearly.
3. Lacking definite shape, form, or character; indistinct: saw a vague outline of a building through the fog.
4. Not clear in meaning or application. See Synonyms at ambiguous.
5. Indistinctly felt, perceived, understood, or recalled; hazy: a vague uneasiness.

Now, perhaps I haven't been around enough to realize that "vague" is actually a euphemism for "stupidhead" or the like, but it seems to me that the original question was pretty vague. My own response on reading the name of this thread was "In a store, perhaps?" I see tons of places at Yongsan where you can buy legitimate copies of software. Now, of course, if the OP would be more specific about what kind of software he wants (Windows, office software, games), then we can get more specific . However, all my suggestions are going to center around Yongsan, as others have noted.

No worries! It's all sorted via PMs; probably the way it should have been from the start.

I think that with tech issues, one needs to always include as much info as possible. Be as specific as you can, go into as much detail as you can and think about what others will need to help you.

This goes for any request on any issue, but for computers, there is just so many things that can be at fault, overkill on info is best.

laogaiguk is a good guy and trying to make me a better one. That's cool.

I can't promise that if another silly post comes up I won't be a bit prodding, but as I said, I will think about this small mess and perhaps try to phrase "Whattheheckkindaquestionisthat?!?" a bit more like "What exactly do you mean, good Sir?".
