You Are Right.
Be comfortable with who you are, and if you're a good person, others can tell, and if they can't, then that's their loss. If you start worrying about how others think, especially anonymous others, people who don't know you, then you might as well live in a small town for the rest of your life, as you carry around the judgements of a plethora of noisy strangers in your head. What's with that? |

Give the OP a bit of a break. If you've never been to SE Asia before, its easy to think that its a wild land full of foreign pedophiles and sex tourists, when in reality, thats not true.
There are tons of tourists in SE Asia from all walks of life. Absolutely noone in SE Asia will look at you and think that you must be a sex tourist or a pedophile, unless of course, you look like a sex tourist or a pedophile.
When you go home afterwards and tell people you went to Cambodia by yourself for two weeks, well, that may be another story. But for whats it worth noone ever accused me of being a sex tourist or a pedophile for going to Cambodia. That doesn't mean they didn't think about it though. |
