Well, I went to Yongsan, and saw a 7600GT going for W168,000 with these specs: 256MB RAM 1.4ns DDR3 500/1200Mhz.

That will be the next card I buy.

You mean 128Bit or 256Bit? As far as I could make out on the box it was a 256Mbit.

I'm sorry; I'm a boof. I mean:

How many pixel processors and vertex processors?

cool. Let me know. IMO, this is what you are REALLY paying for in a video card.

dude, he is only fishing for suckers that will take his card...

bro, that card is obsolete tech. If you want to sell it be serious and put up a serious price.

I'll give you 115,000. Or else I'll get a NEW one...

It looks like the card is yours. How would you like to do this? Wire the money to my account and I'll mail you the card? I live in Wonju.

I looked on the box and there was no mention of that sort of info. But... that should be standard across the board according to the chipset series, after all... Nvidia does not make cards, they make chips. The actual spec and performance does vary a bit on who makes the card, for example ASUS, Gigabyte, etc. but ultimatley it's up to the chipset series. This is my personal opinion by the way.

hmmm...I figured that information wouldn't be found on the box. It usually is found in some spec. manual. I'll go digging and see if I can find it.

HHASHAHAHAH. Alright, I found it. check this out:

http://www.evga.com/products/moreinfo.asp?pn=256-P2-N553-AX&pwindow=specs&family=

http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=908

My 6800GT is a 16/6 ratio while this one is a 12/7 ratio. That means that my 6800GT will be pumping out clearer more crisp videos, shadows, shaders, etc. than the 7600GT.

The GPU on the 7600GT is 580 to 1500 while mine is a clumsy 350/1000

the question is, what is more important to a person?

Well, to me, the clock speed is what is most important.

The 6600Gt has only 8 'pipes', while the 7600Gt has 12.

Of hand I could not see where you saw this ratio you mentioned, where did you see that?

Interesting read anyway. Smile

hehehe. Sorry, I guess I should have explained that little part. Here it is:

I wrote the ratio as follows:

pixel shaders : vertex shaders

6800GT = 16 :6
7600GT = 12 : 7

6800GT core = 350 GPU Speed
6800GT memory = 1000 Read speed

7600GT core = 580 GPU Speed
7600GT memory = 1500 Read speed

This will all depend on how much power the game requires. If your game doesn't require that high of speed, then the 6800GT, for the price, would benefit you more in that you get more pixel shaders. Ex. if your game (F.E.A.R.) only requires a speed of...say....300 GPU Speed and a memory speed of 800....then the 6800GT would be better because you would not only have the speed fullfilled, but you would also have more pipelines creating a smoother more realistic presentation of the 3D graphic. However, if the game requires a high GPU speed, then you'll still have the great graphical presentation, but now, the game will run a bit slower.

It really depends. (Remember that the actual numbers for F.E.A.R. are different; I just used those as a hypothetical). In all honestly, not many people, if any, are going to ask a store, retailer, etc., "hey, how many pixel shaders are required to get a smooth picture?"

In conclusion, if you have the money for a 7600GT...GO FOR IT!!! Very Happy i WOULD!!!! Very Happy BUT....if you don't.....and are trying to play the latest games out that eat up resources (F.E.A.R., Quake 4, PREY; these are some of the largest hogs out there right now), then this card, the 6800GT is more than enough to sustain you.

I wouldn't dare to say that a year from now, you can still operate the upper level games. You probably could; who knows. the GT series from 6800 and above are, IMO, going to be pretty strong for at least the next 1.5 years to come. Smile

Ok...no one has gotten back to me about the video card. The first 100,000WON takes the 6800GT from me.
