Knockers. That should be on the list too.

Adding ass to the swear filter should take no more than five minutes. Why seek it out and destroy it manually each time?

Note: Just checked and it looks like the two usages (donkey + part of body) have two different etymologies. Maybe we should go back to Old English assa.

Quote:
From the Old English assa, from probable hypocoristic form of Old Irish asan which entered the language through the Northumbrian dialect of O.E. Other Germanic tongues had no such word instead using forms similar to esol which does exist in O.E. The Celtic word comes from Latin asinus and before this, (confer Greek onos. This word has a Semitic origin, probably Hebrew, ahton "she-ass".)

Quote:
Used chiefly in the US. A vulgar usage of arse (used in the UK and Australia), from a Germanic root thought to be ars-oz. Cognates include the Old High German/Old Norse ars (now Arsch in German), Old Frisian, ers and Greek orrhos.

Is that the same Mod who's been adding "Mod Edit: Watch the language!" at the bottom of members' posts lately?

Probably.
BTW, Jack*** and *** are not censored words here according to the filter, so what's the point in editing posts and trying to get people to not use words which aren't even filtered?

Rhetorical question.

Mod Edit: Please watch the language!

I AM watching the language, literally; I don't understand, are you so busy looking for bad words that you didn't bother to read my post, or... is that the answer to my rhetorical question?

If the latter, are you really going to decide for these forums which words we can and can't use, independent of the filter? Because that's what the filter is for.
Bust me for filter dodging when I do it, fine (I do it often enough, mea culpa) but, one more time:
*** and JACK***
are not on the list of words that are automatically filtered.
If you are going to decide independent of the filter, then I think you should also add: phuck, beyotch, poopy, arse, fecal, dung, dong, schlong, and trouser snake, ballsweat, erection, orgasm, and dirty sanchez to the list of words not filtered but shouldn't be used.

And furthermore, I suggest that anyone coming across these words send a pm to nambucaveman, giving him a heads up so that he can edit them.

Mod Edit: Please watch the language!

Laughing
Aw, man, you have to give us a clue here- is it just anal/scatalogical words you have a problem with?
If I can't ASS, can I say ARSE? DERRIERE? FANNY? BUM? POOPHOLE? SPHINCTER?

If I can't say JACKASS, but can I say DONKEY, MULE?

You sir are a donkey and this will come back and bite you in the fanny.

Enquiring minds want to know: Am I allowed to speak of torn asses, if I'm quoting from the bible? (1 Kings 13:28 )?
