my friend is from Korea. She's a 35 year old intelligent women who does not say a lot of nonsense. After 2 days, it sounds like she was misled somwhere but that it's difficult to figure out exactly why she is so adamant about the truth behind her assertion.
See, though I've lived in Japan, I am some white dude so maybe it was outside my dailiy knowledge. Maybe this is beleived commonly by Koreans, because they were badly victims of the Japanese sexual crimes for that long period of the occupation. So, they readily are open to the idea of the Japanese government controlling the sexuality of its people in an autocratic way. Atleast one person here gave this the nod, so this could very well be like a Korean "urban" legend.
I'd still like to get some more opinions about this if possible. |
