I just noticed you're flying on Tiger airways. You'd be a fool not to!

whatever you do in your two days there don't waste any time in an internet cafe.

tell us all the details when you return.

and don't forget to mine the local supermarkets for hard-to-find-in-Korea stuff

Brief update here.

Yes, huge supermarket in town.. open 24 hours I believe.

The city (town) of Darwin isn't that big. I think it has two stoplights? But its packed with quite a punch. Mostly backpacker haunts everywhere.. tons of southeast asian food.. and loads of bars/clubs/nightlife that is quite lively. A really nice surprise.

Mendil Beach seems to be the main beach.. but didn't see many sunbathers though. Not much cover, and the water isn't that good for swimming. However, the Mendil Beach Night Market packs a punch for it though. Tons of more southeast asian restaurants everywhere once again.. plus live music.. lots of hippies and stuff brought in from India, Thailand and indigeneous aboriginal cultural type stuff to sell once again to tourists. Its a good little economy going there.

Anyways.. thats a general rundown. Will post more later when I have more time. Quite a few aboriginals in Darwin as well.
