Almost all.
Happily, my TV is rarely switched on.
Bliss. Joy. |
I've become more and more bored with tv as I've gotten older- maybe it's an age thing, Wangja^^ |
Sadly, you could be right, my dear, certainly in my case .... |
I doubt it. I haven't liked tv for a long time and I just turned 27. Tv is only for study or certain shows like Star Trek where the tv only gets turned on a minute before it starts, and off again as soon as it's over. |

Why? I think I might grow to like it, but I just want to smash the boss' face in. Maybe people love to hate him? |

Don't know about "hate", but there are many I don't watch--Seinfeld, Simpsons, CSI, Law and Order, The Practice, Desperate Housewives, etc--don't get the attraction.
I will watch Sex and the City if it's on and there's nothing else. |
I used to like CSI, but I guess I'm over it- there's too much focus on the CSIs, I think, and not the crime.
You don't like Law and Order? I really like the story lines- there's always a twist I never see coming (I'd make a terrible investigator), and I really like the characters. The acting is amazing, as well- I love Sam Waterson's acting and his character, Mr. McCoy- he's very passionate. |

The Office takes a bit of getting used to if you're used to the British series. The first few episodes are kind of like retreads the British series with each actor doing his best to mimic their British counter part. However, the actors quickly develop their own and I love it.
The only thing I don't like is the boss -- whats his face ... Steve Carrel... -- has become something of a box office hit and the writers seem to be trying to humanize him a bit more in the final episodes of the final season. In the British series, the boss was never redeemed. (Technically he was redeemed in some follow on Christmas specials.)
I kind of like my archetypes and don't want any blurring. It's too early to Fonzy him. |

| Friends. I had a roommate who loved it to the point where she called herself "Phoebe" (to be fair, she had an Asian name that was difficult for Americans to pronounce) amd I've seen more of that show than I'd care to admit. |

'dharma & greg' is in no way funny.
i think 'friends' might have been funny during its first season, but everything since hasn't been.
'seinfeld' could be funny now and then, but WOW did i hate jerry's and george's parents.
CSI Miami is terrible, mostly because of that redhead lead actor. |

And Americans can pronounce Phoebe more easily?
Here's the list of shows that I hate.
The Office: I don't understand why anyone would watch a TV show about someone they don't like.
Battlestar Galactica: there's too much story and character development. I want Boxy and disposable episodes.
Seinfeld: people don't really talk like that. I want more realistic shows about New York, like Friends.
Colbert Report: it's just a comedian sitting there for half an hour talking about himself. Totally irrelevant. Plus he's a right-wing mouthpiece.
King of the Hill: it's not as funny as Simpsons. All the jokes are subtle and build on the characters rather than providing cheap laughs.
Penn and Teller's Bullshiat: What did PETA, Creationists, abstinence-only educators, and the Death Penalty ever do to them?
Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends: he should be criticising his subjects from the safety of a distant studio, not shadowing them and exposing what they're really like.
South Park: there's no subtlety or satire to this show at all. It's just fart jokes with no deeper meaning. In the episode about the Mohammad cartoon in Denmark and Family Guy's writing style, there was a joke about a horse farting.
Metalocalypse: the new awful show from Adult Swim. There is nothing remotely heavy metal about it. |

oh christ yes, "Dharma and Greg", "The Drew Carey Show" and also "Gone Without A Trace"*
*although mainly because a mate of mine actually did go missing in NYC and all the police did was say "Oh he's probably dead" |

I LOVE television. And in Korea, anything English is basically riveting.
I'm totally addicted to shows I would never watch at home, such as Medium, which is like my favorite show now. Over the summer I noticed even my boyfriend would be like "Cool, Tyra's on!" The shameless and scandalous Cheaters is also one of our nightly programs.
Shows I can't stand: Alias, Bones, and Big Brother. |

Ooooo, I'll fervently second that one! What happened to that show? Did the comedy part go to Africa with Eric? Not funny. |

"Judge Judy"
It's had the 12:30 pm time slot on AFN for about forever now, whereas other shows kinda come and go every season or so. |
