That was half a lifetime ago for me. Before my mid-twenties, I was married; after my mid twenties, I became a dad. For the most part, I was trying to fit myself into the roles of husband and father. Now, after another twenty-some years, I think I've finally accomplished it |

| I have spent nearly all of my 20's so far in Korea. (I came when I was 21) So far it has been great. A little too much boozing, not enough ganja and just the right amount of lady friends. |

20s? Unfortunately, cynical.
Fortunately, I've gotten a bit wiser as I've gotten into my 30s.

And aren't you glad that you did it in the order that you did? Getting married and having my kids young (2 by the age of 24!) gave me a chance to have TWO wonderful lives...and now, I'm starting on my third! I don't think that I would have appreciated the whole "teaching abroad" experience as much if I would have done it in my 20's. |

Actually, it was my teaching abroad in my 20s that led me to my wife and son |

Graduated university early. WORKING WORKING WORKING. Looked up one day wasn't the 20's anymore! Crap I forgot to have a life. Worked some more.
Got tired of racing rats. Came to Korea.

I'd have to agree with getting over your teen years for at least the first half of the decade. And at 26 (turned this weekend) it seems to be the "quarter life crisis" where you're accomplished everything that was easy, mapped out, and expected and now you actually have to do something with yourself and take on responsibility that you managed to avoid by going to university
so i continued that avoidance by coming to Korea |
