Mod - I wouldn't think it wrong to ban ChuckECheese for making a comment such as that. Making a cheap joke about a serious illness is completely unacceptable.

That's your political view, dude. I sympathize with people with unfortunate disease, but when someone takes advantage of his/her illness (slightly over doing it) to make ill political issue, that in my opinion, deserves awards.

I'm not talking about politics, I'm talking about disrespect for those with serious diseases. Whether he was overdoing it or not, we don't know but, assuming you're not a specialist doctor in this field, you should not make comments like that one you did because the fact is you don't know what you are talking about.

Dude, you're over generalizing saying those with serious diseases.

If Fox makes his political statement in public, there are people for and against those issues. And he has every right to become target for both positive and negative criticism.

And I've seen him on TV recently and he wasn't even close to this performance, so I feel he deserve an award.

Saw him on one of the news program talking about his promo which made a big issue with his performance. He wasn't as spastic then. I mean he was shaking his hands and jerking his head a bit, but definately not like his promo.

Using ones own disability/disease is perfectly okay to make his political or personal statement, but come on.... you can tell right away that he's acting like the professional that he is.... acting.

Ok, I know I am going to open myself up here for attack, but so be it.

I have a nervous problem...I don't know what it is...but sometimes I begin to shake. Sometimes it only affects my hands, but when I am really nervous or scared, it affects my whole body. It's actually quite comical. Most of the time, you would never know. However, one incident, I couldn't even control my body because of it and it got worse with people watching. Recently, it has gotten a lot better, but there are times when it reoccurs. So how can you place yourself in a such a place of authority to define Michael's condition?

I highly doubt it's that comical when someone really realized what's going on, and while it's good to laugh at things like that for yourself, I sure as hell hope you have had that checked out. It doesn't sound good FiveEagles Sad

Man, that Fox guy is juiced up on something.

Fox should win an oscar for best actor for creating a new dance, "The Vibrator."

I would love to hear you make that comment in public. Really.

But I doubt you ever would Cause you ain't man enough to say something like that, because the only power you will have in you pathetic life is behind a computer screen.

And I understand that my reaction to your post is one of the only times you have any contact with another human being in your current life. And you secretly crave this because you are a lonely individual who's going to die alone if you maintain an attitude like this.

Whatever your poiltical feelings are you don't have to make a personal attack on a man in a sad and terrible situation like that.

He's dying.

He has a family and a wife and wants to do anything to possibly preserve his own life and the lives of others.

Michael J. Fox's appearence in the commercial wouldn't be a political if the current administrations didn't make stem cell research a political issue.

Well said, endo. This underlines my belief that ChuckECHeese should be banned from these forums. Comments like his are completely unacceptable to the majority of civilised, reasonable people who don't go around judging others and assuming that they are an expert about things that they actually know very little about.

First of all, unlike you and buttrian, I am a type of person whos not afraid to speak my mind. A real straight shooter without bullcrap like you and buttrian are good at.

So take off your politically correct shaded glasses and stop feeling sorry for diseased/disabled/crippled or what ever you call them.

Why should Fox or other people with similar condition be treated any differently or discriminated against just because their crippling diseases? Do you think they deserved to be treated any differently or do they want to be treated any differently? The answer is, No, they dont! They all want equal treatment without discrimination.

If you had any friend or relative who are crippled due to accident or some disease, you would know that they dont want to be treated any differently. And yes, I said crippled. Is that also politically incorrect and should I say disabled?

Thats very flattering. You and Buttrian are perfect match because you are the exact type of people with politically correct shaded glasses who love to tell white-lies by saying only good things about everything and end up stabbing the others in the back. I prefer making friends with people who shoot straight talk and not afraid to tell it like it is without worrying about political correctness. So go play in your own sandbox.

Once again, take off your politically correct shaded glasses and stop feeling sorry for these crippled people. They dont want to be treated any differently. Rather, they want to be treated like anyone else with respect and dignity. Therefore, they dont have the immunity when it comes to their political, moral, ethical or religious view. And I dont care if hes dying tomorrow, if he makes public political, moral, ethical, religious issue and statement regarding the human embryonic stem cell research, I would not hesitate to make the same comment. Why?

My view on human embryonic stem cell research is that its wrong. In my opinion, human life begins at the conception. So in my personal view, Fox and other people are murdering other human being to save their own skin. I know that this opinion will bring many debates (like the chicken or the egg) but thats my own personal belief. I am sure that many of you believe that such research will bring medical wonders, but have you ever thought about the consequences? Do you actually think that human can ever beat nature of death and diseases?

Im from the Bushwhacker country and in my opinion, Bush has attention deficit disorder which is commonly known as ADD, and I make public comments about that too. So do you think people flip out over that like you two? No! So get a life and go play in your own sandbox.

I hate to break this terrible news to you but we are all dying, dudes and duddettes. Its just horrible to think that isnt it you genius. Think of it as the fact of life. Reality hurts doesnt it? God willing.

endo wrote:

So what? I have my family and even a dog back home.

And yes, hes trying to save his own skin by promoting murdering of other human life.

Yeah? Thats your view and opinion. Some of us dont believe that bullcrap. Enough said.

My final note to you and your back stabbing buddy is, Go play in your own sandbox if its too much for you to handle.

What I don't get about some who are against using embryos for stem cell research (because it's "murder") is that clinics which store embryos throw them out because after X amount of time in the deep freeze they begin to degenerate...

So I guess it's better to throw them out than to use them to do research for serious illnesses hey Rolling Eyes

Then that in itself is wrong in my opinion.
