Any particular reason why you don't set it higher than that? Aren't you on a 8 or 10 MB up line?

I don't know what my line speed is, all I know is that from private trackers I regularly get 5mb/s or higher and from public less than 300kb/s

Here you go: http://www.mininova.org/tor/513888

Try this public torrent from mininova. Fresh out of the oven, latest episode of survivor. I'd be interested to see what kind of speeds you 8MB/s dudes can get out of this.

coincdentally that's the same file I downloaded from the OP's link and it took only 70 secs. I've been waiting now for 2 minutes and it hasnt' even started downloading yet despite showing 1043 seeds and 3180 leeches.

It kinda helps that I was the one who uploaded it Wink.

I will be uploading bsg and justice there tomorrow Smile

as for the rar files.. yes it is annoying and I wish sites didnt require them.. but they wont change.. (I tried)

I got a hit and run warning from there.

I download one file seed it for about 4-5 hours turned off my computer and went to bed. It's not my fault there's no leechers. I must say that's pretty lame.

Laughing It's a small world!

Does anyone have a spare invite to a good 0 day tracker? I want a backup tracker for the Torrentleech account I have now. Something like a FileList, SceneTorrents or TorrentBytes would be most excellent. I can offer a TorrentLeech invite in return (or others - PM for details).

really? I dont think you are the one they are really trying to catch.. there are ALOT of hit and runs there lately.. they are trying to weed them out. I have uploaded things.. and of the first 20 downloaders.. 5 stay.. it is frustrating. Sad

plus they are trying to keep torrents active for more than 1 day.

I pm'd one of the head guys and got it worked out. they took the warning away, but still I seeded for 4 hours and went to bed. That's pretty crappy to give a warning like that. If there were more users it wouldn't be an issue as I would've been able to seed it back. Been seeding almost 3.5 hours now and not one leech yet either.

and all this for a file I'm not even going to watch.

Ya, true. Gonzo is a good guy over there, so are the admins.

Saying that, bitmetv is one of the strictest sites out there, and you can find ANYTHING on there from tv. I downloaded the battlestargalactica miniseries from like 2003 and was downloading at 500kB/s. People seed forever to keep a good ratio. It has worked for them.

This is the problem with new torrents sites. The member base just isn't big enough to ensure consistent rate of leechers and people get frustrated and stop seeding. Bitmetv is a little like that in that you have to seed forever and a day to get back to 1 on a torrent. The thing going for BitMetv is the content; something that new torrent sites don't have.

I really dont understand why people have to seed so much at bitmetv. I do have 100mb up/down.. but I use rss feed (which is key) and it downloads when I am at work, and when I am home I stop it and my ratio is at least 3.

~~and no I dont have any invites to bitmetv, they were removed as I have invited to many deadbeats.. ironically most of them have been esl teachers with faster than average internet connections~~

I no longer give out invitations unless I know the person personally and can walk them through maintaining a good ratio or they have excellent ratios on sites that are usually tough to maintain a good ratio.

bitmetv

42 invites given 22 dead beats.. not a real good track record.. lol.

Me too. I am going to make a couple of torrents this afternoon or tonight. Looks like it's going to be FEAR expansion, FIFA07, and a couple of drumming videos. I'm Demo there.
